John Doe performs the song "The Losing Kind" at a special benefit for Paul Williams in San Francisco on June 28, 2009. This is a song that he wrote for the movie "Black Snake Moan," which he talks about.
In 1995, Paul Williams (founder of Crawdaddy magazine) suffered a traumatic brain injury in a bicycle accident, leading to early onset of dementia, and a steady decline to the point where he now requires full-time care. The burden on his immediate family has been immense, and there's an effort to solicit help, in the form of contributions of any size, to assist in Paul's continued care and medical attention.

The movie was awesome with lots of rave reviews. Unfortunately, that does not always translate to sales. It did bomb due to poor marketing.

Wow he seems like a real dick. Black Snake Moan was far from universally panned. It got a lot of rave reviews. Be grateful your fucking music was used in the first place, you prick.
