I was lucky to be invited to fly with the guys during the Indy race on the Gold Coast... We needed 3 hours prep with forms and tests to be done... We had to wear army greens with black boots, gloves and a pressure suit that inflates to pressure the body and help with blood flow when we hit between 4 to 6 G's... And because the Roulette planes have clear glass for great viewing... They have no protection from the sun... So in full gear mode it was hot as hell :) ... Well that's my excuse anyway from freaking out and wanting to be sick... Hope you enjoy the clips.

  • I have been a fan of these guys since I was a kid so how did you manage to go up with David you very lucky guy& you didn.t even pass out during the loops?

  • It came about through the Radio station I was working for... It's been funny reading the comments from people.. Believe me I wish I didn't get sick... But being stuck in there... It's like a little microwave box and I was pouring with sweat... With no energy... If I had the chance to do it again I'd jump at it... I'd just make sure that physically I'm up for it... And Shazza the loops were awesome... Hardcore with my stomach... But awesome fun.. And if you know David please pass on my hellos :)

  • a few days ago these guys did a full display in front of my office over sydney. i dont know why. but it was awsome cos im on a high floor so they were flying right past me face hahaha

  • @blakeblake321 that is the sound of the igniters, they are very high voltage type of spark plugs that come on constantly whilst the starter is energised. Once the turbine starts it is self sustaining and does not need these igniters. The reason you can hear them is because they are so high voltage they break through the radio system.

  • they used to fluy the aeromacchi's until there was a head on crash thats when they went to the pilatus PC-9 aircraft

  • farkin kevin rudd use money on stupid stuff. spend it on the defence rather than giving money away

  • haha, is that really that bad?

  • we do sorta we get 4 hornets up there at the big airshows and do only do the Dimond formation though

  • Thats the engine start warning.
