***DISCLAIMER*** This is from Revelation Video's 'Garden State Arrow'. Part 5 starts with a short sequence of trains from the Elizabeth parking deck in 2001 with an Acela Express and EMU local. And then moves onto the North Elizabeth area in the summer of 2002. Where everything is seen; E60s, rebuilt AEM-7s pulling Amfleet Is painted in the Acela scheme, Comet IBs on NJCL trains, unrebuilt Comet IIs, new ALP46s pulling Comet Vs, and even a couple of freights. The E60s were retired in 2003. The Three Rivers which was a mail & express heavy train was annulled in 2005 after Amtrak dropped mail & express the previous year. It was a revamped Broadway Limited although it ran on a parallel route between Washington D.C. & Chicago. What Amfleet Is are left are in push-pull service on the Keystone Corridor and clockers from Philly with cab-cars fitted from mothballed Metroliners.

  • What type of horn did the E-60's have?

  • Nathan P01235.

  • Good video. When I went to Philadelphia I went to my friends house in Hatboro for a few days. They lived near the SEPTA tracks and they said at night Conrail runs freights on SEPTA? Is that true. Thanks

  • Typically freights run at night but they really can run at any time of the day.

  • does conrail remain active on the NEC?? I only seem them near the rail yards of baltimore..

  • Yes, they're all over the state.

I wish they kept the E-60 with phase IV AND V paint

  • They should of kept the Amtrak three rivers

  • wow how did that csx c44 have flat wheels

  • I live in Hatboro, too, right next to the tracks. Usually I see the freight trains by CSX coming through around 3-4AM. Very occasionally you'll see a freight in the middle of the day.
