@shutdowncity007 DO. Security+ counts as an elective towards the MCSA or MCSE /MCITP. Also A+ with Network+ can also be used.

Glad to see that I am on the right track. I think that it is also good to start with the CompTIA certs first cause last I checked they do not "expire". Where as Cisco certs, you either have to recert or advance every 2 years. Which is good but annoying.
