@TitaniaTheFeyQueen it was a rumour drawn up by the pro-Romanov forces during the Russian civil war to keep hope and morale up after learning that the family had been murdered but two body's were missing Anastasia's and her brothers, but in 2007 they found two body's and matched them with DNA from the rest of the family.

@TitaniaTheFeyQueen the theory that Anastaia is alive is wrong just go to wiki and they said they found her body in 2007 via DNA testing. so NO she did not escape.
