Comparison between the censored and uncensored version of Death Metal's death in No More Heroes. This is just another video editing experiment. I might try to do the other scenes if I can.

The intro voice was created using a text-to-speech program that came with my Mac.

  • I think the best comment I've read about American vs Japanese censorship is that in Japan it's OK to show the outside of a girl (naked), but not the insides. In the U.S. it's OK to show the insides (splattered on a wall, for example) but not the outside.

  • I love being in america and my apple pie and baseball cards.

  • :L Hate europe

My version is the black shitty one

  • The european version makes people look like they fed on pens.

  • I liked the blood version better.

  • It's on both consoles in Japan, but it IS an exclusive for the PS3 in America.

  • i remember when this first came out. i didnt believe the whole pixie dust thing, until i saw it and lol'd hard.

the demo for heroes paradise though, is so much better than this. blood has improved and graphics wise also much superior.

what kills me is its for the fagbox360 also... it was supposed to be an exclusive to ps3 though...

  • I like how he EXPLODES

  • @dracotheferret The uncensored version has already been released on the 360 version and a new, uncensored PS3 version coming out soon. The game was also developed by a Japanese company whose goal for NMH was to make a game bloodier than the Manhunt series or something along those lines.

  • @rafaelcbf0 Where do you see me generalizing. I was talking about No More Heroes only, so please, do not put words in my mouth. I know that Japan itself can be violent and disgusting too, I've seen plenty enough. to make me think that.

Actually what you said first was exactly what I was trying to get at in the first place.

  • @dracotheferret Based on games like "Dead Space", "Gears of War, "Mortal Combat" etc. etc, etc, I would say it was a dission made by the company to be more apealing to the wester audience. But generalizing and saying games are more bloody in america is dumb, there are plenty of games that would put any of the ubove to shame, thats why you don't see them outside of japan.

  • @rafaelcbf0 Then why does only the American version have the ridiculously over the top blood, huh?
