Hi Gang,
John, Kevin and I booked a hotel room in the heart of Liverpool so we could hit the town. Liverpool has a great night life. There are two main streets Mathew (the most famous) and Wood Street that are lined with Pubs and Discos. Downtown Liverpool is very popular for Hen Nights (Bachelorette Parties) or Stag Nights (Batchelor Parties). Thousands of people come to town every weekend for a night in Liverpool!
Mathew St. is where the Beatles started. Their influence was so great that the quality of music you hear from the local bands is exceptional. I would equate the music scene in Liverpool on the same scale as the music scene in Austin, Texas. Just Awesome!
We started off visiting some historic sites that the Beatles wrote songs about i.e. Strawberry Field, Penny Lane, the Albert Dock, John Lennon's and Paul Mc Cartney's childhood homes and of course the Cavern Pub where it all started.
