18mph is to higher wind to fly in. I use a wind meter and check the net for wind speeds in my area, best times to fly is mornings and late evenings when the winds are lighter.
You can add some weight to the glider and fly it in up 10mph winds as i have done in the past. Find a slope with nothing infront like trees other wise it can get turbulent. Where do you fly?

jsa. Took it out the other day but chickened out. The hill had loads of trees and the wind was thermic and gusting to 18mph+. I just didn't have the nads to try it. How do you judge when it is right to fly - windwise?

I just bought one of these and havn't flown it yet (don't get out much). Can't wait to try it though. It would be my first attempt. Any advise???

@dhkites Pick a nice hill with a steady light wind about 6 to 8mph add a bit of lead if its to windy,Tack the glider like you would kiteboarding to stay up.
Just practice and you can get some long flights
