  • your an idiot, the only things that will beat bikes are cars at the top end. period. and thats very few cars.

  • A bike is 10 times more rider-dependant than a car. You can give an idiot John Noonan's busa for all I care and and it wont crack 200mph wherelse John on his own bike did 250mph+ on the salts. His bike on nrmal tarmac will have an additional 15% more top speed.

  • @Ryknfjor guy i don t own a 500hp car, but raced in some cathegory and practically work in balocco if it wasn t at least a bit clear..and even worked in mv team gallina, italian superbike at the first year debut some year ago..ok we are on the net..but if you want some garantee more you just have to ask to..it's already full of clowns here..the wtcc (world touring car championship) speech was just an example to give the idea of the strong marketing influence in this sector, bike or car

  • @pazzoallaguida fifth gear did the shoot and i dont think theyre biased on bikes. yeah i didnt see the actual record at salt lakes but who cares, if they said the saw it- then they did, if they lied or not well never really know would we? that just goes back to my point in the beginning, unless you own a fast car/bike all you got is what someone said or what magazines put out. whats wtcc? and whats with fwd cars, they suck for racing cars, other than that im not understanding what your saying

  • @Ryknfjor oh yes, but you saw a record on a salt lake, i've already clarified it..as for the superleggera i remembered another video, but the problem is the same, the circuit and the same fact that the video (as for almost every video for shows) is edited..and probably made in several laps..marketing reasons..as in the wtcc..where fwd cars manage to beat the 3 series..while public don't know the huge advantages the regulation gives them..so the fashion of the 300hp shit fwd..and brands save money

  • @pazzoallaguida i can only believe whats seen on youtube, if they say it is, it probably is. if they did and didnt record ALL the environmental issues, rider exp., weight, height, temp outside, wind gusts, pavement temp, humidity, etc etc. (which is most) then dont believe ANYTHING ever posted... this debate is then nullified and such. get my point? and to clarify it WAS the superleggera the 1098 raced, since i cant find my response to that inquiry

  • @pazzoallaguida yes it is but for someone who doesnt know how to use a laser theyll get a wrong reading, thats what im saying- at dragstrips they dont use gps they use set "photocells" or lasers. OH NO they changed their tires!! there isnt even enough % of rolling resistance in tires to make a difference-thats more so in the bearings to the rims, just dont buy Maxxis'. the other guy wasnt at the salt flats when he got to 320. AND altitude even more so plays a bigger role @ salt flats.

  • @Ryknfjor strange..every official time is calculated with laser telemeter guy..and as for the salt lake you have to consider the different tyres..specially made for the record on that kind of terrain and clearly with low rolling resistance..it's not a case the records are made on salt lakes, not only for the generous dimensions..as for the r6 in every test it reached no more than 265-270km/h..as every sports 600cc..on tacho..well..my 636 went even 290..but if you believe it's the true speed..

  • @pazzoallaguida A stock 312R went 197mph at the salt flats, another confirms 320kph and the speedo and gps indicated same velocity. stock. i dont think the actual top speed of a literbike is 167mph considering a 2002 r6 ( on youtube) went 172mph indicated gps..... they dont run of cables coming from the hub anymore im more than sure the technology is there for getting accurate speed. its only common sense. a laser is only good if you aim it at the right angle otherwise, its a wrong speed.

  • @Ryknfjor 1st..gps aren t so precise at all (like navigators, many times even not linked to the abs sensors), in order to recorder speed there are the laser telemeters..2nd-the official datas are wrong (and the mistake is even big) in many cases, from almost every brand, bikes or cars..3rd-i told the most of the bike, clearly NOT every bike..and finally, it's clear the mistake is in %..but on the practical side the mistake at the top speed is the one i described for these cases.

  • @pazzoallaguida well yeah its true for most but how much further do you know its going? bikes are off by a % not a set velocity... i think a MV Agusta 312R going 312kph wont be lying to you since it OFFICIALLY goes that speed. stock. if not i would never buy from them cuz theyd be lying thus losing any credibility MV ever had. and people arent stupid it wont just 'say' it on the speedo- they MUST have used an official GPS to record it.

  • @Ryknfjor it depends on the track, then it's not a superleggera but a normal gallardo 1st serie, 500hp, 3-4s slower than the superleggera in a 1.30s track guy..and when i speak about a slow circuit i mean a slow circuit..anyway even in the ring you can check the record times..and the advantage is huge..
