KSS ( http://www.sackannadasangha.org ) has selected "OMASHRAM -Old Age Care" (http://www.omashram.org) Bangalore, Karnataka, India as the charity of the year-2011.
KSS is continuing the tradition of helping the needy charity in Karnataka for the Fourth year.
Omashram is an organization formed with the main objective of care for old.
With this objective in mind, the organization has established an old age home that provides comfortable, clean and hygienic boarding and lodging facilities with nursing and medical care to poor and middle class individuals (above 60 years of age) of all denominations.
Residents who are immobile/bedridden needing constant attention are provided extra and intensive care. Currently, they have 60 resident elders.
