@killazach1017 1. It's a heavy weapon, 2. It's not a demonstration, just practice and 3. These weapon forms are probably not the focus of their training. In the past, when arms where carried by everyone, it was a priority to know how to fight with weapons. Now it's not the focus anymore and people do it more as a way to perfect the art.
That said, I agree that it was not a good show. The practitioners just don't look like they are in shape.

Is this a Lama Pai or Choy Li Fut weapon form?

From what I heard Chan Tai San was from an obscure part of China and only spoke in a rare ToiSan dialect. How you guys were able to learn so efficiently from him given the language gap is truly amazing. Great clip - thanks for uploading!

The Grandmaster never ceases to amaze me in these clips. I only wish he was healthy enough to demonstrate his feats before my eyes at sifu Ventura's school a few years back.

I've similar tiger fork rolling movements in some Northern Kung Fu styles. The metal forks were shaped differently though.

Interesting moves! I've never seen the tiger fork rolled that way. Is the purpose for body conditioning? In Hap gar we have a weighted bar which is rolled around the body as a toughening exercise, but that is purely for lin gong. Our tiger fork routine has no such movements. I can see by the way your sifu does those movements that it is something he has practised a lot! Thanks for the new insights. David.
