Ms. Shearer, Joan Crawford, to name just a couple of stars, I believe were lucky to have Robert Montgomery as their love interest in their films. He is one of the best!

ahh Montgomery did play a serial killer and got an oscar nomination for it, 1937 NIGHT MUST FALL, GREAT FILM

Norma Shearer got an Oscar nomination for this film!!!

"Blue is The Night" is on YouTube. User disco79 has the version used in this film.

One rarely sees Shearer that girlie - and what a car!! MGM had money coming out its ears to do expensive ballroom sequences (despite primitive microphones rendering dialog unintelligible) and complicated location shooting....without a boom mike!
Those were the days.

still have not found this original blue is the night , not the others.

Hipnotic clip due to the beautiful song is played and the big scene we see with two big big stars! Thanks.

Blue Is The Night shouldn't be so hard to find. It has been recorded many times over the years. I don't know if this particular version was released on record though. The 1929 recording by the Ipana Troubadours is fairly similar in style and has been released in recent years I think.
