physiological and behavioral responses in the opposite sex, such as level of attraction, trust, and determine how comfortable a woman/man will be to communicate with you...and a vegan diet can/will strip us of these hormones eventually (no kidding, my body odor was non-existent the next day!). Perhaps this is the reason why I always find myself sniffing on the girlfriend's (who is not vegan) pillow each night when she goes home ;]

Zak,
What do you think about the supplementation of pheromones for vegans?
I've been on a vegan diet for three months for the 'health benefits' and to rid myself of body odor. However lately, I've come across information pertaining to the importance of body odor. Body odor, along with many other pheromones are a vital part in becoming intimate with a partner or the opposite sex. These are the hormones and chemicals that our body releases naturally that trigger (continued)

@DeepestSleep I have seen nothing substantial that indicates a true difference nutritionally between the different colours of maca. Ashwagandha is the herb I mentioned. Mucuna is great, I have a video on it, check it out by searching the name on youtube (I give a source for it as well, at that same link if you can grab some ashwagandha).
I think I finally understand your approach. Perhaps it's not about sustaining life... it's about enhancing life. I'm intrigued. I hate to keep harassing you but, I would really like to know how you deal with the general public. If someone ridicules or questions you, what's your defence? How can we approach a person eating a suicide diet in order to help them. I understand respecting a persons decisions and lifestyle... but who are we to harbor all this positive knowledge and not share it?

@EarthSoldier10 My defense in any given situation would be logical based on the facts at hand so it's hard for me to give an example. Rarely am I offended by people question me because I don't do the things I do out of a belief system or to "be right". Eating poorly is a choice, yes. Personally I think the best action would be to have a health tax put on junk foods and things like that which would then go to funding their hospital care later in life (at least with our health system in Canada).

@EarthSoldier10 ...In terms of what we can do personally is to live by example. If they're a loved one and they are harming themselves we can intervene and give our best argument from the heart and show that we care. If it's someone we are in a relationship with we can give an ultimatum (ie. it's either the cigarettes or me). If it's a child living at home, IMO a good parent should know that they can decide what that child does and simply for example "stop buying the count chocula", lol...

Currently, I'm supplementing with these pheromones from a company by the name of Androtics Direct.
While I have noticed that MANY more women are comfortable around me than before, I can't tell whether or not this is a placebo effect.
Can you comment on this?
Thank you!

@KFerguson61 Yes body odor is important. Testosterone and other androgens help produce these and many vegans have low androgen levels due to a variety of reasons but most notably from a lack of cholesterol in their diet. I'm not familiar with taking pheromones and can't comment on that directly except that intuitively I fell that the ones our body makes naturally would be the ideal.
