To defeat your opponents (whoever they may be) you must rise above them - take the high ground. If you do that then you will not fail. You defeat your enemies by sticking to your values and principles. Once you begin down the slippery slope of torturing people you have then lost all credibility with the people you are defending and with those you wish to win support from. Because you will be perceived as no better than those you fight against.

Praises be to Cheney and Bush for damn sure, and congrats to Obama for not having the decency to follow through on a single campaign promise that he made, in this case by NOT shutting down Gitmo or disassembling the machine that Bush/Cheney assembled to fight terrorism. Obama did nothing to get Bin Laden - Credit is due to the Seals who took him out and the machine put into place by Bush/Cheney that every leftist swore against, but are now eagerly praising.

@STEELE2211 Sorry that i'm replying to a comment made a year ago, but It's all about the power, and sacrificing your values to get that Power is totally worth it. if you don't know that you haven't been in the power game, or you left early. Obama might "say" good morals and stuff but in reality him and Cheney were working together to make him look more credible. Sometimes torture is necessary so keep it secret, and having the moral high ground won't give you a safer nation, better economy.

Cenk seems to not discuss the fact that Obama is going to let them get away with it. He hasn't pushed or even mentioned that there should be an investigation and indictment.
