In the end of the video you see Steve walk up the ladder through the deck to the bridge.... In 1978 the Knox was in Geraldton, Australia. I was giving tours and was leading a group of 2 Cute School Teachers and about 20 kids from the bridge down the ladder well. I get to the bottom of the ladder and I hear a small Scream. I turn around and the first teacher was half way down the ladder and her dress was blown up around her ears. I quickly turned away as she got her dress under control..

WOW... I had heard of this Video or the Filming of the TV Show.... I got on the Knox after she changed home ports to Yokosuka, Japan in 1977 and stayed 2 years. Our Desron 15 CO was Capt Boarda who became the CNO. 3 Knox Class went to Australia and Boarda was riding the Knox. Our CO was a WOG as was I... And Boarda wanted to be High Lined to another Knox Class.... So we high lined him over... I was the Ships Photographer and he said as He sat in the basket... Don't get my Cigar WET !!

I was stationed aboard this ship this was filmed off the coast of ohau no he was not highlined acrossed they used a stunt double he was ferried over to the cochrane by ships motor whale boat and for the stenciling on life jackets no those life jackets where property of the ship. the story line to this was we where coming back from a west pac cruise, a port of call hong kong and a sailor working for the dragon was smuggling drugs stashed in fire extingushers
