I assure you a squirrel did not cause this. The root cause was a defective fuse holder associated with motor-operated high voltage switch.

This is the Ives Dairy Substation located near San Simeon Way and Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida.

This happened between 2000 and 2001.

@pmgodfrey yes, you are correct, there are several versions of what happened, and edited videos, but if you do some hunting around, on utube, you can find the original, start to explosion, it is survailence footage, and i do believe it is copyrighted
