@TheBeatlesCom To alter the timbre of the piano, one only has two options: the use of dynamics, and the use of the sustain pedal. The reason there is such a high number of guitarists saying such stuff is generally because they took the time to learn the proper technique. Using a dampener is like trying to cure cancer with a band-aid. It limits the musician in several different ways. For instance, one cannot use the low E as a pedal point. In the end, it just limits his creative possibilities.

the tone is so harsh.

That sounded better while played slow

Why is everyone hating on the wristband? Its music why does it matter if you find easier ways to do it or make it sound better, when they made WheelLoaders to pick up dirt easier did the other construction workers complain it was too easy? No, cause it got the job done. Why in videos of Piano people seem to give there thoughts on how great the person is and go on, while on guitar everythings a "VS" or "I am better"
Who is Betcha and why can't he play any of these songs?

@hillninja Dude come on the damper does not make him play this 10 times better. Yeah it helps take out the other stings from ringing a lot and those ugly overtones, however it's not like he will die or not be able to play great without the damper. From 4:40 on if you notice he is not using the damper and still seems to play great and and clean.
