  • Vinnie Appice is playing drums in this video from the Derringer reunion tour of 2008. I met up with Danny and Vinnie at their Coach House show in San Juan Capistrano, So. California. Nice fan video! I wish there was more Danny Johnson youtube videos!

  • @EmeraldlorraineOC I'm happy that you like it! Cool story, too!

  • I saw Derringer with Foreigner back in the late 70s or early 80s at the spectrum in Philly - all I remember was being blown away and they were throwing their guitars back and forth - is there any footage from back then of the shows?

  • Mamamia! Great story! I love to hear storys from the golden age of Rock'n Roll. If you'll find ever DERRINGER footage from that period; let me know!

  • Exists any recording of The Bandits?

  • Danny, Rick, Vinny and Kenny fans out there; watch out for an official live recording from DERRINGER! I pray for this moment!

  • amazing! check out me and my friends cover tell me wat u think

  • thats a great story man !!! i worked with danny johnson for years, with axis, dj and the bandits and private life,he used to come over my house and jam .

  • Sorry - I just posted a URL leading to what I thought was a recent pic of Mesco, but the band looks REALLY retro! (Maybe it's just a "retro revival" band from 2002! Who knows?)

  • We brought a six-pack to the back alley of the Golden Bear in HB to share w/Danny, Gordon and "Conan," (Craig).

Jeff, (AKA "the best-dressed guy in Hollywood,") got there too late for the beer! My friend recalls Jeff snorting Chloroseptic in the restroom at Hop Singh's to clear his throat! Wild man + great voice, especially singing the late Phil Seymour's classic "Turn Up the Night!" Need to find my blue album, with "Nothin' to Lose," used in the movie "Fade to Black" with Dennis Christopher.

  • the drummer was craig mesco on that blue album dj and the bandits , gordon copley on bass , jeff rollings on guitar ,and i think jaime sheriff played some keyboards on it.

  • the rhythm guitar player was jeff rollings and he past away some years back. god bless him. he was a great entertainer. and good friend.

  • lorraine ,sad to hear you and gordon split up. hope you are doin good , what about jay shellen the drummer. hes with asia now .
