  • A great clip from "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" featuring three comedy legends; Joey Bishop, Jack Benny & George Burns. You don't see talent like this on television anymore. Ed McMahon & Johnny Carson made late-night TV great entertainment for 30 years. R.I.P., guys.

  • @simonmoves Maybe that's why Guy Marks was missing midway through the second season of his sitcom (The Joey Bishop Show).

  • Everybody in this clip is dead....including the woman who walked Joey out

  • RIP Jack Benny 1894-1974 Joey Bishop 1918-2007 Ed McMahon 1923-2009 and Johnny Carson 1925-2005

  • Joey had his own late night show running against Carson, but like so many others, he couldn't chip away at Carson's base. Benny said he'd be around a long time, but unforunately, this was not to be. You can feel the love everyone had for Jack, but Johnny was different. A great comedian, impeccable timing, a great host, handsome, yes. But this very private man was no so loveable.

  • We had shag carpeting like that in our home. Heck, I covered the cracked dashboard of my 1973 Ford Pinto with some.

I miss everybody on that set.

  • Carson's always great... Bishop was great... Benny owns this segment, and there's a whole generation of people who don't even know who he is...

  • he sacked joe flynn for stealing to many lines on the first season of his show--dont think he was very generous to other comediens-though he was the last original ratpack to go--didnt find him funny--as much as rickles or benny--they were miles ahead-

  • You know, thinking about it, we baby boomers were lucky to watch all of those shows and see most of them live in those times. We did enjoy good TV programming, not like what they have the audacity to show today. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow. Its like comfort food! Great clip.
