That is, quite simply, the most bad-ass thing I have ever seen. I want one.

Are those side doors motorized as well? It would be awesome if you could just hit a couple buttons from the driver's seat and be ready to go.

@timerider4 I just hooked up the side doors for the Speed Channel show Car Science. March 16th on speed

@krugtech That would be so awesome to see a video of your van pulling up to a corvette and rev the ICE, the corvette guy laughs.... Then the back window lowers and the side doors open to reveal the monsterous turbine engine. The light turns green and you leave him in the dust.... :-D

@bballguy162006 What you said is exactly what i told the producers of Monster Garage. Everyting was falling into place then they wanted to use a Celica instead of a van so I bailed on that project and built the van myself. Yeah, I need to get the video of that. We pull crap like that all the time!

My only question is, are there any issues with the turbine shattering that rear window with the heat it puts off. That window unless specially made is Tempered glass. Extreme heat would probably shatter it, granted the sudden cool down doesn't.
I install glass on commercial buildings for a living, this why I ask.

This was a concern of mine. I considered a sheetmetal replica of the glass because of these concerns. I used the stock glass to set it up and tried it and luckily it's held up to some pretty extreme conditions without any problems so far.
