The "chickenhawk" thing is ill-logical in a sense. First off saying anyone who advocates a war but hasnt seen war is automatically a "chicken hawk" is saying Abraham Lincoln,Woodrew Wilson & Fraklin D. Roosevelt were all "chickenhawks" being none of them ever saw war personally but helped advocate it.Secondly it's ill-logical to think everyone who supports a war should go fight it. If that was the case "the fight"wouldnt last cause their would be no one here to keep backing it to keep it going.

Lincoln served in the Illinois militia during the Blackhawk War.

@acetong1990 The big difference is that they never actively avoided wars when they were military age. Lincoln joined the military, but he was 37 by the time of the Mexican War and already in Congress, and he opposed that war. Franklin Roosevelt was of age when the Spanish-American War broke out, but just because cousin Theodore supposed it doesn't mean he did. He even said he hated war. Wilson was not the right age, either. That's the difference. None of these man actively avoided war.

Saxby Chambliss should have a list to himself!

He actually ran ads in Georgia calling Sen. Max Cleland (Marine Vet. who lost 3 limbs in Nam) a traitor and a coward. This weasel Chambliss then stated that, "I had to go on the offensive. I would have appeared to look like a complete lightweight."

He didn't mention that he received a deferment from the US Military for, in his own words, "a QB knee."

Since the lost, Max Cleland has to receive aggressive counseling due that campaign. Look it up!
