Thanks for the Reed, great music! Used to listen to JR's stuff on KDIA as a kid, growing up in Oakland, CA. and bought the 45's down at the Fruitvale Record store, on E. 14th St. Loved that sound, still do. Thanks!

This rhythm is the blueprint for early Motown: "Ain't That Peculiar" comes to mind.!!!
