Gaslight Gale Foehner Ragtime Piano live in Santa Cruz California December 1999


Gale Foehner has entered his early 80's and has retired from show business.
His unique approach to reworking Ragtime Jazz Piano into his own Folk-Jazz style piano wizardry has amazed audiences for 60 years.
This musical style is lost to the annals of time it seems,
but Foehner has managed to keep the music alive and even astound music historians in the process as they watch his fingers dance across the keys and hear a glimpse of the distant past in this perfect expression of art.
This video was recorded by his son Andrew in December of 1999 at a 1920's themed party that Gale was flown in from St Louis to play at.
This is one of Gales own compositions named Main St Rag.
