***THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN ON 5/16/10 BUT I JUST HAD THE TIME TO POST IT NOW ***
For those who have not heard the bad news....As most of you know I am a competitive bodybuilder and also compete in strength competitions. I had a serious accident at the gym on 5/12/2010. During a heavy deadlift my footing slipped and both of my legs collapsed after hearing 2 loud POP! POP! sound on the final weight attempt. An ambulance came and rushed me to the hospital. The injury ended up being a torn/ruptured bilateral quadriceps tendon (all front thigh muscles) a torn lateral quadriceps muscle (the side thigh muscle) a dislocated patella (knee cap) and this is the same exact injury on both of my legs! I have been bed ridden (cannot get up from bed since I have to keep my legs straight at all times and cannot put any weight on them for 8 weeks) in a leg brace/splint since my surgery 5/15. I start physical therapy to learn how to walk again on the 26th of this month (I can't wait). Physical therapy I was told would take about 6-8 months before I could walk again.
The following video shows my road to recovery. This is day 1, First day back from the hospital.
Bro I did the same thing on 12/23/11. I was squatting 675 and heard two loud "POPS" about 2 seconds apart. Totally severed both quad tendons. It's been tough Bro. But through Jesus Christ my Saviour I can do ALL THINGS!!! God Bless you!!

Hi Mike, I really feel for you and sorry this happened. I like your horn videos and had no idea you where into body building. I used to lift a lot back in the day and I have feared these things could happen. Hope you get better soon and please keep us updated.

Wow….I really hope your recovery goes well. My uncle who is a hall of fame bodybuilder told me that this was one of his biggest fears of deadlifting. It's really unfortunate that this had to happen to you or anybody else for that matter. I hope you get soon man. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers for a speedy and full recovery.
