I have been trying to work this song out for at least six years! I finally figured out the chord that was stumping me the other day! It's was an F#m7b5! I finally found a configuration of that chord on the internet that would include the melody note I needed, but even then I had to modify it. The resultant chord shape was one I was familiar with, but had never tried with this song, until now! Hope you like it!

A Quiet Place
by Ralph Carmichael

There is a quiet place
Far from the rapid pace
Where God can soothe my troubled mind.

Sheltered by tree and flower
There in my quiet hour
With Him my cares are left behind.

Whether a garden small,
Or on a mountain tall
New strength and courage there I find.

And then from that quiet place
I go prepared to face
A new day with love for all mankind.

  • Excellent...thanks for taking the time to work it out and share!

  • @BullhornGuy My pleasure! The ones that take longest to work out, are often the more gratifying!

  • Really nice. It brings back memories of all the fine songs RC wrote back then. What is the name of this song?
