Bacon Potato Chowder

The Professor prepares two versions of Bacon Potato Chowder, one for base camp and the other for the trail.

Base Camp:
8 slices of bacon cut into 1" pieces
1 C. chopped onion
2 C. potatoes, diced
1 C. water
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 3/4 C milk
2T parsley
Salt and pepper to taste

Trail:
1 medium potato,diced
water to cover
2 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
1 pkg of Cream of Chicken Cup a Soup
1 cup of water
1/4 C dry milk
1 tsp onion powder or minced onion
1 pkg coffee creamer
Salt and pepper to taste
