Pu Ngunlianchunga MDC sworn-in as new CEM of LADC

on 13th January 2009 at 11:00 AM, the new Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council Pu. C. Ngunlianchunga was sworn in at the headquarters of the LADC at Lawngtlai. The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai Pu. C. Ralkapa. Pu. c. Ngunlianchunga became the 20th CEM of LADC after Pu. C. Thanghluna, the outgoing CEM lost majority of Members (MDC) as some MDCs and ruling Executive Members joined the INC last week.

The LADC is an Autonomous District Council under the State Government having under its jurisdiction 18 Departments (except Home Department) with a Budget of Rs. 2,800 Lacs in 2008-09. His Excellency, the Governor of Mizoram MM Lakhera has also called for a special Assembly Session of the concerned Autonomous District Council later this month. The new Government led by Pu. C. Ngunlianchunga has been approved by the Mizoram Government.
