CHANNELZEROTV.COM presents Kanye West's "Through the Wire", winner of the 2004 Source Award for "Best Music Video". Shot and edited even before the Chaka Khan sample was cleared, this "buzz" clip paved the way for the multi-Grammy winning "College Dropout" phenomenon. Directed by: Coodie & Chike

  • To everyone saying Kanye changed, chill. As you mature you change, it's only right. He didn't just change hip-hop, he changed music. He's one of the realist artists..at a point in time when hip-hop was just promoting gangsta and crunk music.. he made real music for everyday situations and taught us it's okay to be different... every album is different.. look at 808s and Heartbreak, that pretty much inspired great artists like Kid Cudi, Frank Ocean, Drake and others to make the music they make.

  • How are people hating on Kanye? He's not the same person anymore, get over it. No one can rap about trying to get signed and being broke when they finally are successful and making millions. He has a different style for each album and if you don't like it then just listen to his style you like the most. Personally I like a rapper who keeps evolving and never has the same sound for 2 CDs.

  • @cfoxx90 same thing about Lupe

  • twitter @youngamerika i follow back

  • @seanpull Kanye was talking about miracle whips and Benzes in 2000

  • @seanpull you don't rap so.....

  • I believe this was the first Kanye song I heard, and been rollin' with him ever since...Illuminati or not!

  • @seanpull JUST A QUESTION

  • @DarianZielinsky was just a question, jeez

  • Oh my god people......... Why do you continue to say "hip hop is dead", and "kanye's old stuff destroys his new stuff", seriously? There is a fine line that rappers must follow to not change too much but still maintain variety, this is almost impossible for any artist, and everyone is too critical. Personally i love what kanye has done throughout his career and this song is sick.. Give em a break.. I would like to see you produce this much success

  • @huricane316 yeah, but I didn't go from making meaningful music like this, to rapping about "maybachs on bachs on bachs".
