Spinal cord injury patient, Christina Cohen, discusses her progress after undergoing stem cell therapy at the Stem Cell Institute in Panama City, Panama. Christina suffered a T-12 injury after falling from a 150 ft cliff. Since treatment, she has regained movement, greatly reduced her dependency on drugs and regained bladder and partial bowel control.

  • Im so happy for you, to get back ANYTHING after paralysis is a miracle! So how much did this whole blessing cost? Proceedure, travel, assistants? Please let me know as that im 15 years post my diving accident I would love to try this. I dunno if it would work on such an old injury, but if i could get back movement in just one finger my life could change dramatically :-)

  • @87Unbeatable - The standard treatment protocol takes about 4 weeks and includes the following:

    • 8 intrathecal (spinal canal) injections of expanded/non-expanded cord blood-derived stem cells (2/week) • 4 intravenous injections (IV) expanded cord blood-derived stem cells (1/week) • 2 intrathecal (lumbar puncture) injections of bone marrow-derived stem cells (during final week) • 2 intravenous injections (IV) bone marrow-derived stem cells (final week) • 19 physical therapy sessions

  • Very cool about the being able to use the restroom on your own. I'm L1 & really that restroom usage ability is really the thing that i'd like the most, without a doubt.
