thank you sooo much! I had no idea how to do my homework on roofs (our proff did not give us anything! Just a drafting problem!), until I saw this and started making the roof on sketchup, and now I'm done! :D

Actually there is an easyer way to do this. Simply by selecting the corner of the roof and draging it parallel to the axis/roof and typing in the distance. This way you lose the need for the guide, the two lines and you don't have to erase anything. Or for a 10 sec job you can simply make a box at the height of the roof, draw a line from a lower corner to the middle of the upper edge and then complete the roof with the follow me tool. I just wounder how aidanchopra didn't think about this.
