  • Jimmy Wales is not "founder" of Wikipedia. He, with Larry Sanger, was a co-founder, and the junior half at that. Sanger championed the idea of implementing the wiki software and architecture, Sanger named it "Wikipedia", and Sanger nurtured most of the key policies and guidelines in the first year. But, if you want to believe Jimbo's big fib that he's the "founder" or, even more ridiculously as he once tried to get everyone to call him, the "sole founder", you go right on believing that.
