  • IndyCar and the IndyCar Lightseries are so great! Better than Formula 1. I come from European and we can´t see this great motorsport on the tv.

  • @2002qdog F1 is also much more controlled and predictable. Some Indycar fans criticise it for being too bland to watch, but myself as an F1 fan an Indycar race can seem chaotic at points. There are fewer cars taking part in an F1 race, and another difference that gurlsingerfan didn't mention is that indycars are bigger and heavier than F1 cars.

  • Nice move Winslow - not a nice move Krohne...

  • @gurlsingerfan

    Im a TV spectador;

    I mean the 2 races were poor in exciting moments, as you can see in these short highlights.

    get it?

  • @2002qdog I could say "money", but it's more than that: The big different is engines: F1 runs 2.4 liter V-8 engines built by various manufacturers. Indy cars run on alcohol fuel, and all Indy cars at the current time have Honda 3.5 liter engines, built as much for reliability and cost efficiency as for outright speed. Other differences are in wing configuration, movable aerodynamics (for the F1) and optional KERS, a type of hybrid energy system (F1 only) to recapture braking energy.

  • whats the difference between f1 and indycar?

  • @gurlsingerfan agreed it's a pretty good track.

  • Does anyone have a lap time difference between the Indy lights and the full Izod Indy Cars on this track? It would be interesting to find out how much slower the Lights are on a track like this. :-)

  • @DrDenisSaralho Really? What makes you say that? I have been there 4 times going all the way back to the first spectator event, I have virtually never heard anyone speak badly of the place. It is a fantastic track for spectators, the crews and staff are great, and there is not much you could ask for as a driver that is not in this track. It is just a doll of a place. The only place I have that can compete for me is Elkhart Lake WI due to its great size, but it is not as good for spectators.

  • better than any oval, but this track aint that good...
