http://www.davidcalder.ca - Although I have been a world champion in the 8+ and an Olympic silver medalist in the 2-, the 1x has always been a challenge for me. I thought that I would try to overcome that challenge by getting a little more comfortable with my boat.

Never had the chance to scull on Lake Natoma, but I know that it is crazy cold there in the spring. I once had coach who said that you can't be a good sculler until you've flipped at least once, way to get a jump on it.

Haha yeah, Im guessing that its a Hudson, most likley the hull of 2006 or 2007 :)

Oh I feel so much better now.....have only fallen in twice (2nd time was after getting in after the first time....) but I still don't feel totally comfortable in the racing 1x if it's windy

one note to any sculler watching this, notice he only fell in when he let go of the blade as long as you hold onto the blades you are unlikely to fall in, as the blades are really buoyant!!!
