Keith Urban and friends (including Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman from Little Big Town and Sarah Buxton) cover the Beatles "With a Little Help From My Friends" at the 2010 CMA Music Fest in Nashville. Keith dedicated the song to the Nashville flood victims and relief efforts.
This is note for note, a copy of Joe Cocker's version, most famously done at Woodstock in 1969.

It's really similar to how they sing it for The Wonder Years...not really the original Beatles version...I think that's what they were going for maybe...

What's not upbeat about this? It's an anthem for all the people who pulled together and got Nashville ready for this huge influx of people. The city looked beautiful and it's a tribute to all the hard work that went into getting it that way. Way to go, Nashville! And way to go, Keith, for rocking this one!

I saw it twice and heard the sound check. This made me a Kieth Fan more! Iv'e seen Joe Cocker, The Grateful Dead. Maybe not a Beatles way of doin it, but was perfect for the moment . The fans and the community all helped with the flood...

I am usually a huge Keith Urban fan but I was disappointed with the way he sang this song. It's supposed to be an upbeat, feel good song and he just tried to over sing it - especially the background singers. The beauty of this song is the simplicity of it. I would also have been disappointed if he did NOT put all he had into one of his performances, so I just think this song wasn't for him. Like i said though, I am a big Keith Urban fan just not a fan of this cover.
