Fang Molted!

My Psalmopoeus cambridgei is growing quick. First time I've actually been able to really see anything of a tarantula's exuvium.

The way you are sexing that molt is wrong.. You need to flip it over & view the inside to confirm if it is a female.. You were looking in the right area.. Just not on the right side of the molt..

@xDeAdlYSp1Derx What species? Some do take a lot of time to molt. Like Chromatopelma.

@xDeAdlYSp1Derx Large or old tarantulas sometimes take more time. Make sure she has access to water at all times. The spot where the urticating hairs are will turn from a light tan to almost black as she gets closer to a molt.

Thanks for the shout out, Danielle!!! Never thought I'd be saying this to a fellow hobbyist, but congrats on getting your male, LOL!!! Desirae is still not on a sac....but she horks down dubias like they're going out of style. I'll definitely be happy to try again with your beautiful Fang....
