Marco Simoncelli - #58 - A Tribute

He was and still is one of my favourite riders of all time. He made MotoGP, and racing overall exciting. He had a lot of criticism for some of his on track moves, but I loved every moment I got to watch him on tv and in real life at Laguna Seca this year... I've followed his career a long long time. Some of his 250 races were the best I've ever seen.

I miss you already, Marco Simoncelli #58. Rest In Peace.

All photos and video were taken by myself at Laguna Seca this year (2011). Sorry the quality is not great but I was only using a little compact Panasonic camera.

Though we've had plenty to argue about when it came to Marco, I respected him as a rider. My heart is heavy just the same. You did a wonderful job with this tribute video, and I'm so grateful you were able to see him at Laguna this year! Beautiful.

I was a vocal critic of Marco's riding, but never in a million years would I wish this on him or any other rider. I may not have been a fan when he was alive, but I've come to appreciate just what he meant to millions of fans and just what a brilliant person he was. Its fun to have racers we root for and against, but when something like this happens to one of our family, our racing brethren, it leaves me sick inside.

This was a lovely video mate, very nicely done.

Previous to the Sepang race he said to his dad, Paolo Simoncelli, that he was tired and wanted to go back home. Marco, you are at home with the other angels now R.I.P. <3
