Boy George with "Happy Family" taken from the album release "Tense Nervous Headache".

This is one of my very TOP favourite George musical moments and I think it deserves to be uploaded as a video on You Tube...

So ENJOY +

  • Great video for this forgotten song. I have this album somewhere although it is called High Hat. I don't think it has this song on it thought. At least I don't remember it having it. I'll have to go searching for the album.

  • @monroeboy80

I have been meaning to get back to you. "Happy Family" only appears on "Tense Nervous Headache".

It's very complicated!... "High Hat" came out 1st & featured many of the Teddy Riley tracks which I don't think George was pleased with. He then released "Tense Nervous Headache" after "High Hat" which had the T.Riley tracks left off ...

  • @monroeboy80

"Tense Nervous Headache" featured this "Happy Family", "American Boyz", "I Go Where I Go", "I Love You", "Mama Never Knew" and "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted"...

So half of Tense Nervous appears on "High hat" but the other part does NOT!

Hope this all makes sense!... To get even more technical, there is then "Boyfriend" with the same cover as "High Hat" which features more dance tracks NOT available on both "High hat" and "Tense Nervous Headache"!

    WHAT A HEADACHE!, HA!!!

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence

Well my copy of TNH from Germany is missing "Happy Family", "American Boyz", " and "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted" and has the short version of "I Love You on it". LOL

    It's a very complicated release.

  • @thekarmaboy

That is strange as my German Import on CD has those 3 tracks that yours doesn't !?

    GO FIGURE, very complicated indeed!!!

  • @monroeboy80

    Oh... may I add...

The High Hat George is wearing on the cover of

"High hat" is light blue and the High hat he wears on "Tense Nervous Headache" is Dark BLUE!....

Hope I have answered your questions clearly enough!

  • I have all 3 of the above mentioned albums and they're all hot

  • This is another of Boy George fantastic song. Love the lyrics to this song. Thanks for sharing this fantastic video.

  • Thanks for sharing!!!!

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence Sorry, but "High Hat" was a 1989 compilation of "Tense Nervous Headache" from 1988 and "Boyfriend" from 1989.

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence

I have three versions of this albums: a british one called Tense Nervous Headache, an american called High Hat and a german one caled Boyfriend and the three have diferent traklist.

  • great track...never heard it before..on my copy of tense nervous headache from greece is missing...anyway...its great, great video jason....loved it..kisses..

  • We must remember that was a time that Boy George was fighting with the label and Teddy R about the album. This is a GREAT song. These solo albums should have gotton a lot more American play and did not.

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence

My copy is on vinyl so maybe that's why. I do seem to remember that the track listing on all 3 titles (4 if you include "Jaqueca") differs from country to country. The perfect combination is the CDs from Japan.........but I don't have that sort of money to spend on Ebay at the moment. LOL

Oh I made a mistake in my last post. It's a short version of "Something Strange Called Love" not "I Love You"
