@CalvaroVz When we looked at the 21 bellhousing, it actually has two spaces cast into it for the diff on either side, but on fitting, the diff touched the casing by a few millimeters, so we had to machine the recess larger and aluminium weld it back up. Maybe the 3.44 diff on the GTA is a larger diameter than the 21 one...

HI !
Wonderfull !
Question : Do you modified the 21T bellhousing because of the differential in the other side ?
thank a lot !

Subaru lump wont fit, its too wide for the rear subframe.

Great great great idea !!! I was thinking about fiting a ligther engine in a GTA and found your video ... (I was first thinking about a Subartu flat 4, but does it fit ???)
It is a fact the V6 PRV was far to heavy for this car . Plus the J7r is a strong simple engine , easy to purchase and to upgrade . Well, I can buy a GTA now .
Hi, what about an Audi RS6 into it ? It takes about he same space as the V6. I have one for sale if you guys are interested...

@charpocus RS6 is a nice engine, but with the complexities of the engine management, the need for chargecooling, and the weight, and a custom bellhousing, clutch, etc we could get the same power with a far simpler fit with a SB Chevy.

Hi !!
You can see my video and you will see what I mean. The PRV engine can be made very, VERY powerfull. I know that some in UK say that PRV v6 engine is no good but it is not true. It is and old engine but if you treat it in the right way it can be made powerfull. I know that my engine is making more then 500fp/tq with 1,35bar(18psi) this is extreem. I am verry carefull with the boost becource I am still driving with the Un1 standard gearbox. The gearbox is ok so far.

@glenmilla Any engine can be made powerful, it depends how much money and effort you want to spend.
The J7R can make as much power, with less cost and engineering, and the added benefit of improving the weight balance of the car, and easier to work on and get parts for.
But in the grand scheme of things, the J7R is still an old engine in itself. There are far superior engines we could be using to make an Alpine a better all round vehicle.

Hi !!
I have ben looking all over the place to find some one that know a lot off things about tuning the PRV. I can see that you did put in a smaller turbo engine. You are saying that the prv is to heavy and no good for tuning. Hmm, I do not agree. The PRV v6 engine is 150 kg. and not verry heavy for a v6. It is in the back of the car, yes, but still is is not to heavy for the car. Regarding the PRV engine, I did 1/4 mile in 12,58 this sommer with "only" 1,05 bar (15psi making 330-350bhp)

@glenmilla Yes, the PRV is 90 kilos heavier than the J7R. Regarding power, the J7R can achieve 300-320bhp on standard internals, manifolds etc and a modified ECU. The PRV, such as your own is completely changed, bigger capacity, cams, pistons, custom manifolds, engine management, to achieve the same power, and will not rev as high.
