  • Ow my god I love Marlowe, but I've heard from him because I was a theatre major. Have you ever compared the Jew of Malta to Shylock from The Merchant of Venice?

  • @PoeticPoppa haha, I'm not. Just an academic. And I have not, but I have seen the Merchant of Venice preformed and there were footnotes in my copy comparing the two. It was really interesting. :D

  • The Jew of Malta? Never heard of it?? Anyways.. Next book sounds amazing!! Are you gonna read it in german??? :O jajaja You should !

  • @Alejojojo6 Na klar! ich mache auch den nächsten Vlog auf Deutsch. vielleicht... :D

  • I'm enjoying your trek through the 15 books of summer. 2 down 13 to go. If I weren't leaving one job, moving, and starting a new job, I'd be taking that trek too. Thanks for reading ... and videoing your literary journey. :)

  • @expat26 aww, well thank you. I'm glad you like it! Good luck with your job transfer. :D

  • @doriansu haha, yeah, I'm gonna have trouble with that one too. lol. I kinda want to see that too! Hmm, "mambo italiano" meets "oy vey! My son is gay"? I like.

Oh but of course. Don't forget Sturm und Dram. After all Goethe most definitely was the original emo. haha

  • You couldn't find "The Jew of Malta" anywhere, except online, and my search for "Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay!!" has been fruitless haha... I guess I'll have to wait for your review of it ;-) A gay themed movie intertwining a Jewish and Italian family would be so fun to watch, especially since I enjoy the parlance of those two ethnicities :) Enjoy "The Sorrows of Young Werther" as it takes you through the avenues of weltschmerz, streets of our futile existence, roads devoid of honesty and empathy :-)

  • @alexmanian I will look forward to that.

  • @OLDS98 Reading, yes! Job, meh. It keeps the cash flow going. My summer is about to get a lot more interesting tho, stay tuned. :D
