The governor of Massachusetts has named former Democratic Party chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr. to temporarily fill the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's seat. Kirk will serve in the post until voters pick a replacement in a January special election. (Sept. 24)

  • This is a joke...if this isn't tyranny what else is? a perfectly good example of what government can do when unchecked. The people in ma have been overwhelmingly and i would even argue mindlessly appointing liberal officals for years. Its to the point now that there own officals are calling the shots because thats how comfortable they are. no one's gonna question. I would be embarressed
