Is anyone noticing those worked-up, mocked-up engines? No stealth and heat mitigation. They're fully rotunda with no composite shielding for infared radar. No Thrust Vectoring Capability in addition. Seemd to be equipped with skeleton engines to only ensure it flys. Not to mention the internal avionics and Low RCS compounds necessary to make a 5th generation stealth fighter! Lots of work to do China!

Yep, they are WS-15 prototype engines. They'll do that for sure, just a matter of time.

First off:It's a prototype taking its first flight.It's ridiculous to expect a prototype to have all the features of the final craft. Second, it doesn't have to do anything more than act as a force-in-being. With it, and China's highly capable submarines and anti-ship missiles, the Evil Empire's carrier fleet is going to think twice before interfering in a fight over Taiwan or take any other measure that seriously threatens China.The Evil Empire's good at attacking soft targets, not hard ones.

@Crudowns they have something like low heat filter installed on the inside od the engines that lowers the heat signature and the temperature output by the engines, can't remember what it's called lol

@cathasaigh How can this be a rip off of the F-22? The J-20 has canard....F-22 does not. Other than being stealth, totally different plane.
