Gamma my pet rooster

Gamma my pet rooster is no ordinary rooster. He watches our house and garden as would a watch dog. He jumps on strangers, alerts us if there are any reptiles around the place. Loves to keep us company and hovers around us all the time. Most importantly he takes orders.

@petscrazy There is no such thing as normally. If we talk about exceptions, some hens can live to their early twenties but only in so called old heritage breeds. Production birds are usually dead by 4-5 at the most. Your rooster looks like a Leghorn cross, only 1 in 10 birds lives longer than 11 years Other landraces can live to their early to mid teens, but majority begin to die at 6-8 years old

@petscrazy You should twist his spurs off, they are too long. There is an instrucive video on removing spurs. You should also check if he has scaly legs, and treat him for this.

Gamma is 8 years old now and his age is showing. He limps around and no he is not for sale.
