I composed this rag on 30 April 2004. This video was recorded 16 August 2009 at the Sutter Creek Ice Cream Emporium. Andrew Barrett suddenly decided he wanted to play one of my rags, thumbed through his copy of my first folio and chose this one. It may not be entirely flawless, but it's a pretty darn good rendition. (I've never played this myself. This was one of those rags that I wrote almost entirely on "paper" in the course of one evening, almost never using a keyboard.)
I'm glad to be the first to watch this. You should try playing this, see if your hands can match your mind. (=]

Oh, I already know they can't. Not in a million years. I can fumble through something simple of mine like "Fly-Swatter Rag" and could at one time fumble through "Morgan Hill Rag" (just long enough to make the semi-handplayed MIDI file), but that's about it. I probably could play "Skunk in the Parlor" if I set my mind to it.
