  • Are boys who aren't twee or outwardly fae allowed at this festival?

  • Majesticon: One of the founding principles of Homo A Go Go is self identification of oneself and of community. If you believe that your community is at Homo A Go Go than it is, and you are welcome. We are not gatekeepers of what makes a community. But if you behave badly and treat people with disrespect you will get the boot, no matter what your identity is. The range of identities of the boys at the fest is diverse in both in terms of culture and gender identities.

  • Is it always in Olympia? I'm moving there (hopefully) to go to school this fall, and i would love to attend and support my community and learn more about our culture.

  • Yo, thanks for taking the time to respond to me!

I'm down with expanded definitions of identity, but it's interesting that you subconciously associate my post with "bad behavior".

The reason why I'm asking is b/c honestly, I'm not sure if I feel like this is my community. I do know that, as a queer male who likes punk, i don't fit into the punk/indy/hardcore scene at large, and that I have no interest in mainstream gaydom. I also know that I dislike twee pop and dance-punk. Hmmm...

  • Throwin' down The Pentegram for this one, oh beloved queerios! (& by 'pentegram,' I mean 5 stars..."showin' the love" over here, not "kissin' the goat." Naw mean?)

Thanks so much for including me in this well-edited & wicked inspiring "teaser" for the festival. I love the sped-up action y'all gave my "imaginary friends," but love the overall presentation 1000x.

So many peeps whose work I love, whose sense of character I admire, all gathered in a 9 minute clip that encapsulates a moment...

  • A movement. A current in history that's been captured:

OUR history. Thank you for presenting art and artists who exist outside of the WeHo/Rainbow stereotypes. Beyond the parameters, visibility is provided here.

And you know what? You did it through a festival that's really fkn' FUN! Lofty notions/all references to 'importance' aside, I'm just plain stoked once again to GET MY GAYCATION ON!

    My heart to your heart...x o x o x

  • COLIN SELF YOU ARE EVERYWHERE. 0:54 red shirt.

  • If only they had something like this in Oz. It looks like the type of thing I'd actually enjoy.

  • Dude pretty sure these guys should come to South Australia. we would all love it!!

  • me too! its in SF this year! 8hr away from me!
