New York Sate used 140 million dollars of YOUR stimulus money to buy school supplies.

In order to qualify for the program you had to have already been collecting welfare and food stamps. Once you qualified you received $200 for each child you had between the age of 3 and 17.

You were not required to buy school supplies with the money. It was just a suggestion. After you got it you were free to spend the money on ANYTHING you wanted.

  • The only problem I have is that the money was given out in cash. They could have struck a deal with national suppliers and gotten a 25% discount that could have saved the taxpayers 35 million. When you give poor people cash that is supposed to be spent on uniforms and school supplies, much of the money will end up being spent on beer, cigarettes and video games.

  • shouldnt be mad at them for being smart

  • One more reason why socialism is better than corporatism lol

  • definitely 1 point for socialism

  • 20.000 U.S Dollars?!?! Dude, at the most a family needs is about 50 dollars depending on stuff like calculators.

  • @sweetheart2109 You need to look beneath the surface.

  • @sethmeisterman yes, ALL kids are at fault until the age of 18.

welfare parents with kids is basically the same thing as saying i don't like to be responsible, but i want to have a kid to help me with my responsibilities by being a statistic in gathering free food and checks from the government......and that is EXACTLY what is going on.

    The kids fault?

    who cares.

don't punish my kid for YOUR nigger ways

  • Why are complaining that money is being spend on kids education?

  • @iamsofreakingninja
