I would say, the entire Dasavatara or Ten Avataras of the Blue Indian incarnate, Vishnu is nothing but a systematic depiction of "Evolution" for people, who were real primitives and had very little communication skills. They were told symbolically with imagery so that they won't easily forget such stuff. Most of the stories such as "Nagas are protectors of wealth" is straight out of a Bollywood Screenplay. Humans have always shown to hide their own greed and slap it on some hidden mysteries.

I have to clarify to Mr. David Icke, about the Indian philosophy of "Naagas" and earlier Reptilian race, the Indian Mythological stories of Vishnu, one part of the Trinity form of God consciousness revolves around one particular race, assumed by Vishnu in each of the Ten eras. It starts from Reptilians (Matsya), Amphibian (Koorma), Beasts ( Wild Boar), Dwarfs (Vaamana), Half man-half-beast (NaraSimha), Hybrid Blue race incarnate (Avatar style, Rama), Superman kind (Krishna), Buddha (Meditator)

There is a lot of "Imagination" at play too, just as it is in the case of David Icke and such intellectuals. What I have learned is that "The intellect is often the biggest barrier to overcome/cross for anyone to advance Spiritually. It can empower us and yet delude too. All forms of Powers do tend to corrupt at some point." The references of Nagas and Naga-Paasha are all symbolic of "Power play" by "Giants of near impossible deeds" in the epics of India. Fear and Love can co-exist in time.

In fact the very concept of the Trinity form of God consciousness, named as Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva in the Indian mythologies is nothing other than the three primordial forces in Creation, Rhythm (Vishnu), Mobility (Brahma) and Shiva (Inertia) -- and Maayaa/Shakti provides the Time-Illusion. These three elements known as "Gunas" are seen and felt in every being, every part of creation, with varying degrees and cause the very existence of all beings. Time is the creative energy, matter is created.
