Jeez, I used to listen to John Peel's two hours every weekday evening with the old cassette recorder standing by to catch the Archers, among a few others. I can't believe it was so long ago now.

i really wanna learn how to play the solo in Web In Front, but I can barely hear it over all that emotion

yes... you said it... I remember seeing them live and being really bothered by their bass player and his headbanging metal approach. They were amazing live though.

yup. one of my top ten bands of all time.

Bachman's vocal shrapnel cuts through me, right to the heart

stuck a pin in your backbone, spoked it down from there, all i ever wanted was to be your spine. lost your friction and you slid for a mile, overdone overdrive overlive override. **you know this part** its not a voice and im not around. but thanks for picking it up on the radio scavage your rust from a faucet i know, i got a magnet in my head extra long extra thick the way it was wasted. and theres a chance that things will get weird, yah thats a possibility, althought i didnt do anything.

totally forgot about these guys! This was some good stuff. They were right on the tail end of the golden age of Chapel Hill.

Gorgeous... Just saw Crooked Fingers in Toronto, opening up for Okkervil River. They played Web in Front - I haven't heard that live with a full band behind Eric B in I can't remember how long. Filled with... Nostalgia?!?!

My favorite band ever! I agree they are underrated. I read somewhere that a major label tried to sign 'em but they didnt want to go that route so to speak.
He is awesome! I would not define dancing around and losing yourself in the music as a bothersome antic. Would you rather he just stood there? Sheesh. You people just frownin' there, with yer arms folded, almost ruin shows for me.
