@sega31098 True enough. It came out, some 20 years later, that Louis Armstring was born just over a year AFTER the date he always claimed, in August of 1901. He gave the 7/4/1900 date all of his life, partially because he, himself, was never sure, and partially because it was an easy date to remember. Most of his contemporaries (Trummy Young, for one) were always convinced that he was born a year or two EARLIER than he claimed, say 1898 or 99.
