Possibly the very first footbag video I ever watched (after seeing Chad as the stunt double for Freddie Prinze Jr. in "She's All That"). Definitely a momentous moment in the history of footbag, of course paving the way of the future of shuffle and tripless shred pioneered by Ryan, and inspiring the current world champion, Vasek Klouda.
I was present. Great memory. Amazing routine. Ryan is such an inspiration.

@psykick77 Also, flurry was a rare trick period back then, much less in the middle of a routine. That was considered ridiculously risky.

you must realize when he does the 5 fours in a row that was unseen in competition back then. people didn't think you could go tripless. the next year everyone was doing fours
