http://www.facebook.com/ISWSband - This is my band. Sometimes the solos are shreddy... usually not though. Please check us out, it would mean a lot to me if y'all would like the page!!

This has basically become a guitar "Journal" of sorts.
I'm mostly uploading here now to track my progress, as far as technical prowess goes.
This is basically some of my better shred, minus 5 strings sweeps.
As you may notice, I have a new guitar, which was a Birthmas(birthday christmas) present in November(very early, but hey, if you're a guitar player, you understand).
I'm basically just running it through a Dean Dime head with a boss super overdrive inbetween.
I've been playing for two years and I'm 14 years old.

  • @metalfreak4677 not a problemmm. you should check out my band too!!

  • @SidVicious10101 Alright thanks man. And I subscribed.

  • @metalfreak4677 well find something you can't play, learn it, and slow it down with a metronome, so you can actually play it, and gradually(and I mean very gradually) increase the tempo, ONLY when you can play said thing super cleanly.

  • @SidVicious10101 I do spend lots of a time on practicing speed but I feel that I've stopped progressing and it leaves me looking mental yelling at my hands "WHY CAN'T YOU GO FASTER DAMN IT!" lol

  • @metalfreak4677 That sounds totally unhealthy. If you don't spend time working on speed then you won't get faster, and if you do just scales, after a certain point your not doing yourself any favors. Practice improvisation more, since if you can improvise, doing exactly what I did here will come totally naturally. I improvised all of this. Its just a matter of getting comfortable with the scale shapes(not just up and down) in any sequence, and learning to play to chord tones when against music.

  • @SidVicious10101 I've been playing for 3 years and usally I just go threw a lot of scales threw those 3very long hours.

  • @metalfreak4677 :D thanks man, how do you practice though, and how long have you been playing? Like what do you do to practice during those three hours?

  • @SidVicious10101 Damn I practice 3 hours straight a day and I'm not even that good!

  • @metalfreak4677 I practice approximately an hour or two a day these days

  • How long do you practice a day?
